LM Thru Wired Torpedo Sinkers

Eddie bombs have been an increasingly popular way to catch bluefin, rigging a heavy torpedo sinker with hooks and a leader has been enough to get these fish to bite as well as on jigs. These are available in 16 and 20oz sizes which cover all of the bases needed for the depths we are currently fishing at down to 500 feet. The stainless wire goes through the entire weight unlike other torpedo sinkers, it makes these strong enough to rig directly to without all of the frills of colors and glow like the jigs being used. A 4/0 or 5/0 treble hook on the bottom end is all that’s needed, some guys use a pair of assists on the bottom instead which is also a good way to rig things. I would avoid having hooks on both top and bottom but since these are relatively short the risk of getting foul hooked is much lower than on some of the larger jigs.
